Research Focus

Studying the spreading of miscible liquids through sessile and pendant drop systems. The evolution of the drop is tracked in time to understand the underlying physics of the problem. Digital image processing is implemented to extract quantitative measurements – contact angle, drop radius, and drop volume – from recordings as functions of time. Fluid dynamic theory is deployed to explain the observed phenomena.
